What to Know Before Hiring a Powerchair
All three of our powered wheelchairs fold and fit in a standard car boot — making it easy to take them out and about, to appointments, or on trips away.
No licence required
You don't need a driving licence or medical prescription to hire or use a powered wheelchair. They are mobility aids, not motor vehicles.
Charging
All our powerchairs charge from a standard UK plug socket. We'll show you how when we deliver. A full charge typically takes around 6 hours and gives a full day's range.
Deposits
A refundable security deposit is required for all powered wheelchair hires, returned in full on collection provided the equipment is in the same condition.
Not sure which model?
Give us a call and we'll help you choose. We'll ask about your home layout, how you plan to use the chair, and what weight capacity you need — then we'll give you an honest recommendation.
Also Available: Manual Wheelchairs
If a powered wheelchair isn't necessary for your situation, our manual wheelchairs are a more affordable option — available in lightweight, transit and self-propelled models.
